As part of EASY Theatre's educational program, we offer workshops and classes, a mentor program, work scholarship programs, an Artist in Residence program, a Playwright in Residence program, and we offer free and reduced priced theatrical performances to school groups.

About the instructors/directors:

Shows are directed by professional working actors, who are also playwrights and directors with theatre degrees, with decades of theatre experience.

“We love theatre and performers. It is our goal to transfer a lifelong love of theatre to our students along with the skills they'll need to be successful. We direct the way we would want to be directed. Our company has always been a performers first company. This results in happy performers; and happy performers have fun, work hard, and deliver great shows.”

john is a seasoned actor of over 30 years active involvement with theatre. He has acted in over 105 productions, with over 1600 live performances. Twenty five of his original plays and musicals have been produced, with three new scripts scheduled to premiere this coming year. He has directed 49 productions for 19 companies, organizations, and schools. john is the Playwright in Residence for EASY Theatre.

Engela has been the Artistic Director of EASY theatre since 1999. She's starred in dozens of plays and musicals, Directed or Co-Directed) 33 productions, and choreographed 21 productions. She's written or cowritten 14 scripts which have been produced.

These numbers are constantly changing as Engela and john continue perform, direct, write, and produce. These numbers were accurate as of Sept. 30, 2008.
