October Intensive for Teens
(age 12 and up)

Curtain Up!
Dougherty Arts Center Stage
October 23, at 7:30 p.m.

Curtain Up:  Teaching theatre through performance! Actors work through the rehearsal process, and the class culminates with everyone on stage in a public performance.  All levels of experience are welcome.  The shows are chosen based on the participants.  Since theatre is a cooperative art form, students must attend all classes.  Classes are taught by the directors of EASY Theatre an Austin Community Theatre - www.easytheatre.com.

Curtain Up is meant to get the kids on the stage quickly in a fun show of comedy skits, improvisations, scenes, dances, and songs.  The teens work together for 5 days learning different aspects of performing.  They put the best of what they've learned together on the 6th day, have dress rehearsal on the 7th day, and perform their show that evening on the Dougherty Arts Center Stage.  Each performer is guaranteed a shining moment.  You'll be amazed what these performers can do in such a short time.

The classes run:  10/15 -10/23 M-F for 7 afternoons.  Performance evening of 10/23.

Schedule:

10/15 Monday 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. DAC
