  • These fun 1-day workshops are fundraisers for the Bastrop Opera House.  If you can't attend, please consider sponsoring one or more students with your tax-deductible donation to the Bastrop Opera House. 
  • Free performance for family & friends immediately following the workshop.
  • All experience levels are welcome. 
  • Wear clothes that will allow you to move.
  • Bring water!
  • Sign up for one or all the workshops.

Weekly Classes for Children and Adults

These are fast-paced high-energy classes.  Come dressed to roll on the floor, laugh, play, learn, and have fun. Bring water!

Wednesday Classes
at the Bastrop Opera House

  • Students $100 per semester.  You are responsible for the whole class fee, but may make two $50 dollar payments.  1st payment do by Sept. 3.  Second payment due before October 4.
  • Seniors 50% discount = only $50 tuition.  $5 a week for 10 weeks.  Call 303-5516 to register.
  • Parents taking Engela's BOH classes with their children = free.
  • For any child taking more than one of Engela's classes at the Bastrop Opera House, the second class is just $50.
  • Registration deadline Sept. 3, 2007.
  • $25 late fee after Sept. 3.
  • Sponsorships and work scholarships can be arranged for classes at the Bastrop Opera House.  Contact me for the proper forms.
  • Full refunds for classes at the Bastrop Opera House available until two weeks prior to first class.
  • You are responsible for supplying your costume.
  • There is a $10 script deposit, which will be returned after the last performance if the scripts are returned in good condition on that day.  (You may use a yellow highlighter and a pencil in your script.)

    Dr. Frankenstreudel's Lemon Fresh Laboratory of Horrors 
    by Jeannette Jaquish 
    (Four squabbling urchins escape a mad doctor, a Julia Child / Frankenstein monster, a sickly lab rat and ravenous zombies. Educational, witty and absurd with lots of action.)

Custom Classes Available
With a minimum of six (6) students
you can schedule a group class.  $10 per hour per student.
Here are some ideas (other classes available.)

Ideas
Improvisation, Acting and Performance, Team Building, Family Theatre, Senior Theatre, Stage Makeup, Stage Movement, Song and Dance, Theatre Games, Voice for Stage, Readers Theater, etc.

For example:  Classes just for adults, just for seniors, and just younger students and their caregiver, just for families, etc. 

If you can get together a minimum of six students, we'll arrange a class or a workshop.
